Job Description

A low-budget proof-of-concept short film is casting background performers to portray medieval knights and foot soldiers in an action-focused battle sequence. This is a non-speaking background opportunity with the potential for select performers to be featured. Performers must be comfortable with swordplay on camera and able to arrive camera-ready in their own medieval look.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray medieval battle warriors (knights/foot soldiers) in background action scenes

• Perform basic staged combat and swordplay (self-directed, fast-paced set)

• Follow on-set direction for timing, spacing, and safety during battle choreography

• Maintain wardrobe/armor continuity and arrive fully costumed and ready to work

Requirements

• Male legal adults (approx. ages 18–50s)

• Must provide your own medieval wardrobe/armor (1000–1200s-era look)

• Must arrive costume-ready and prepared for a quick-moving shoot

• Must have safe weapons/props (preferred; bring what you can)

• Experience preferred: stage combat, reenactment, Buhurt, HEMA, SCA, or similar (but not required if you can perform convincing broadsword-style combat)

• Non-union

• Limited availability (production may cap the number of performers)
