We are casting for the role of Abigail, a 5-year-old Black Jamaican girl for a historical TV series set on an 18th-century Jamaican plantation. Abigail is the daughter of enslaved plantation workers. Despite the hardships of her family’s life, Abigail’s home life is filled with joy and love. She enjoys singing traditional African songs taught to her by her grandmother, and her parents work to protect her, providing her with a playful and nurturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray the innocence, joy, and playful spirit of Abigail within a challenging historical context.
  • Participate in scenes that focus on the familial bond and cultural heritage through music and play.
  • Collaborate with the director and cast to authentically bring Abigail’s joyful and loving family dynamic to life.
