Job Description
Casting directors are seeking Berlin-based actors for The Runner, a 15-minute student short film described as a dramedy, coming-of-age story, and modern love story set in present-day Berlin. Produced as part of the Master’s program at MetFilm School Berlin, the film explores themes of loneliness, connection, and belonging through emotionally grounded performances.
Actors with strong dramatic abilities and natural on-screen presence are encouraged to apply for this low-budget independent production.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray emotionally authentic characters in a narrative short film
- Participate in rehearsals and scheduled shooting days
- Collaborate closely with the student production team and director
- Deliver performances aligned with the film’s dramatic and coming-of-age themes
- Attend filming sessions in Berlin as scheduled
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work in Berlin
- Acting experience preferred but not required
- Must submit a headshot, CV, and/or demo reel
- Fluent English required for select roles
- German accent considered a plus for some characters
- Comfortable working on an independent student film production
Compensation Details
- Payment is negotiable
- Low-budget student production
- Includes 5 shooting days plus 1 rehearsal day
