A feature film, Smudge the Blades, is searching for elite hockey players and teams in Edmonton, aged 18-25, for featured and background roles. This is an exciting opportunity for real hockey players to showcase their skills on screen.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform as a hockey player in game scenes and team interactions.
  • Execute on-ice moves, team plays, and game simulations.
  • Take direction from the production team for camera angles and movement coordination.

Requirements:

Roles Available

  • Leora (Female, mid-to-late 50’s, Black): A vampire who has lived for centuries. Neurotic, self-destructive, and estranged from her adoptive family of young vampires. She imposes a paranoid worldview on those around her.

  • Julien (Male, early 20’s, Middle-Eastern or South-Asian): A kind and well-intentioned vampire, Leora’s adoptive son. Often mediates family drama with charm and sarcasm.

  • Connor (Male, mid-to-late 20’s, any non-white ethnicity): A nervous vampire visiting his girlfriend’s family. An artist with a love for antiques, he struggles to control himself under pressure.

  • Sam (Male, mid-to-late 30’s, white): A vampire hunter and antagonist. Obsessed with eliminating vampires, he has spun into a religious psychosis and is dangerously unstable.
