A creative short film project is now casting African American and mixed ethnicity background actors for a unique visual piece inspired by a spoken word poetry album. This production will be shot in a professional Chicago studio and will be a standout credit for any resume. Roles are available for both minors and adults, with a strong emphasis on visual storytelling, style, and individuality. Wardrobe will be provided to match a color-specific aesthetic.
Job Responsibilities
- Appear in background roles representing stylized scenes such as party, beach, amusement park, and family settings
- Follow on-set direction and remain camera-ready throughout shooting hours
- Dress in wardrobe provided and match color-coordinated looks as assigned
- Participate in up to 10-hour shoot days (less for minors, in accordance with labor laws)
Requirements
- Must identify as African American or mixed ethnicity
- Adults must be 18+ years old
- Minor roles:
- “Yellow World Kid”: 6–10 years old (boy or girl)
- “Brother’s Son”: 11–14 years old (boy)
- “Brother’s Toddler”: 2–4 years old (boy or girl)
- Adult roles:
- “Party/Beach BG”: all genders, working 2 days
- “Yellow/Red/Amusement BG”: all genders, working 2 days
- Adult who can dress as Santa
- Must be currently Work Permitted (minors)
Compensation
- $220 per day (up to 10 hours or less)
