SFX Makeup Artist Needed for Independent Short Film in Los Angeles

Job Description

An independent short film is seeking an experienced Special Effects (SFX) Makeup Artist to create realistic burn scar effects for a production filming in the Los Angeles/El Segundo area. The production is looking for an artist with demonstrated experience in realistic prosthetic or makeup effects for film.

Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Create realistic burn scar makeup effects for the face and arms.
• Collaborate with the director and production team to achieve the desired look.
• Apply and maintain SFX makeup throughout filming as needed.
• Ensure continuity of makeup across production days.

Requirements

• Experience creating realistic burn scar or prosthetic makeup effects.
• Available to work on August 15 and/or August 16.
• Able to work in the Los Angeles/El Segundo area.
• Portfolio or previous SFX work is preferred.

Compensation

• Rate negotiable based on experience.
