Job Description: Bass/Valle Casting is seeking talented performers for the upcoming production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, a co-production by Syracuse Stage and the Syracuse University Department of Drama. This enchanted musical brings the beloved fairytale to life with a modern touch while retaining its original charm and magic.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned roles in rehearsals and live performances.
- Follow the direction of the production team, including the director, music director, and choreographer.
- Collaborate with fellow cast members to create a cohesive and engaging production.
- Participate in all required rehearsals and promotional activities.
Available Roles:

Fairy Godmother
- Description: Female-presenting, 30s to 50s, Soprano (A3-C5). Warm with a spark of humor, wonder, and glamour. Lifts the magic in the story and highlights what is possible.
- Note: Actors of color are highly encouraged to audition.

Stepmother
- Description: Female-presenting, 30s to 50s, Mezzo Soprano (A3-E5). A vain and tyrannical climber, deeply concerned with status and image, and dismissive of her stepdaughter.
- Note: Comic timing essential. Looking for a light touch with the comedy to keep it buoyant and zany. Actors of color are highly encouraged to audition.

Christopher
- Description: Male-presenting, 20s, Tenor (C#3-E4). A charming young prince, leads with heroic bravado but is deeply naïve and not always quick on the draw. In search of his purpose.
- Note: Light comedic touch is essential. Actors of color are highly encouraged to audition.
Requirements:
- Must be available for all scheduled rehearsals and performance dates.
- Must be able to work locally in Syracuse, NY.
- Open to all races, ages, ethnicities, abilities, and gender identities.
- Professionalism and the ability to take direction well.
- Strong acting, singing, and (if applicable) dancing skills.
Compensation:
- Contract: URTA Tier 4 AEA contract.
- Rate: $1,070/week.
