Job Description: Eisenberg Casting is excited to announce an open casting call for a dynamic reading series hosted by SOMA BackStage at SOPAC. We are searching for talented individuals aged 16-22 from the SOMA, NJ area to bring life to a variety of roles in an upcoming musical/play reading series. This is an exceptional opportunity for young actors to showcase their abilities, work with experienced professionals, and gain valuable experience in theater production and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend all scheduled readings, rehearsals, and meetings on time and prepared.
  • Collaborate with directors, writers, and fellow cast members to develop and refine character portrayal.
  • Provide feedback and creative input to enhance the overall performance.
  • Participate in discussions and workshops to improve the script and performance.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the series.

Requirements:

  • Must be between the ages of 16-22 and reside in the SOMA, NJ area.
  • Prior acting experience in theater, musicals, or plays is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read and interpret scripts, and convey emotions effectively through voice.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team and be open to constructive criticism.
  • Availability to commit to the series’ schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation Details:

  • This is a paid opportunity. Compensation will be discussed with selected candidates and will be commensurate with experience.
  • Participants will also receive exposure to industry professionals and the opportunity to be part of a creative, collaborative community.
