Mr. Puppy, The Musical is seeking two versatile and reliable non-union performers to serve as standbys for its upcoming NYC showcase. This role is perfect for adaptable actors who can quickly step into a variety of characters and are eager to be part of a vibrant, multicultural family musical. Standbys will be prepared to perform in case of cast absences and may cover multiple tracks throughout the six-week run.
Job Responsibilities

Learn and be ready to cover one or more principal or featured roles

Attend all rehearsals and performances as an on-call performer

Maintain familiarity with blocking, choreography, and vocal material for assigned tracks

Step into roles confidently with minimal notice, as needed

Collaborate with the cast, director, and choreographer to ensure performance readiness
Requirements

One male-identifying and one female-identifying performer

Open to all ethnicities

Strong acting, singing, and movement abilities

Must be non-union and able to work as a local hire in NYC

Quick learner with strong adaptability and professionalism

Available for the full six-week production schedule
Compensation

$300 per week for standby coverage
