Casting is open to UBCP members (or those eligible to be permitted) who reside in the applicable location of production.
 
STORYLINE: Beloved LA sitcom star Isabella Francis is ready to prove herself as a leading lady and be the star of a feature film. She finally gets her chance. Only the studio wants to make sure she’s the right fit for the part and sends her to Sunset Ranch in Jasper Creek, Montana, to learn from an authentic rancher. Sparks fly between Isabella and Hunter Johnson, the owner of Sunset Ranch and her Cowboy teacher. Although very different, the two begin to find common ground and grow closer as Isabella opens up her heart to the beauty of Sunset Ranch and its rugged owner.
 
WALTER (Supporting) – Male, 60s. Loyal, warm, and wise Walter is Hunter’s last ranch hand and serves as the pillar of support for Hunter and Isabella as they navigate their feelings for each other. Must have horse back experience.
LESLIE (Supporting) – Female, 50s. Friendly, feisty, and knowledgeable. Leslie is Walter’s wife and runs the charming Jasper Creek general store. Like her husband, she gives support and advice to both Hunter and Isabella.
ROSE (Supporting) – Female, 40s. A sassy, no-nonsense, human Rottweiler, Rose is Isabella’s competent and fierce manager.
JULIET (Supporting) – Female, 30s. An eclectic and bohemian up-and-coming artist, and Isabella’s sister. The two may banter and snipe, but they always support each other in the end.
SISSY (Principal) – Female, 40s. A shiny, smiley, and ambitious local TV reporter who won’t let a good story go once it’s between her teeth.
IVAN (Principal) – Male, 40s. A slick, well-dressed, and professional Studio Executive.
MARY (Principal) – Female, 40s. The gentle and calm local vet checks on one of Hunter’s horses.
ANNIE (Principal) – Female, 20s. A young and enthusiastic fan of Isabella’s in LA.
JAMES (Actor) – Male, 50s. A bullish and impatient commercial rancher from Gasdale trying to buy Hunter’s ranch from him.
FAN # 1 (Actor) – Male or Female. An excited fan of Isabella’s from Jasper Creek.
FAN # 2 (Actor) – Male or Female. Another excited local fan of Isabella’s from Jasper Creek.

Casting Call for Indigenous Talent – Role: Lily

The Casting Group is seeking an Indigenous female actor in her 20s for the role of Lily in an upcoming non-union industrial film for a health network. The project aims to deliver important health-related training through a professional and engaging video.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in scenes where temporary wash-out color spray will be applied to your hair.

Open Casting Call for Young Inuit Men – Leading Role in a Feature Film

Job Description: Kris & Kara Casting is seeking young Inuit men for the leading role in an upcoming feature film. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for Inuit males aged 16-22 to star in a major production. The film will be shot in Canada, with locations in Nunavut and British Columbia. No prior acting experience is necessary, as we are searching for authentic and charismatic individuals who can bring a unique presence to this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray a leading character in a feature film, working closely with the director and production team to bring the character to life.
  • Follow guidance and direction during the filming process to deliver a compelling on-screen performance.
  • Participate in rehearsals, fittings, and other pre-production activities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with other cast members to create a cohesive and engaging storyline.

Requirements:

  • Male, Inuit, aged 16-22.
  • No acting experience required, but must have a willingness to learn and be comfortable on camera.
  • Must be based in Canada.
  • Applicants should be available to shoot in Nunavut and British Columbia.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and the ability to take direction are essential.
