Destination Casting is excited to announce we are accepting submissions for the new season of WOKE SEASON 2 on HULU!
We are accepting submissions for paid, stand ins, background and featured talent to work as local hires in the Atlanta GA area!
 
WE ARE NOW CASTING:

  • Any ethnicity MALE
  • To play same sex spouse of a doctor!
  • Appears Ages: 34-50
  • Rate: $120/8+ot
  • MUST have cocktail/ upscale attire
All roles will be a picture pick by Director. So be sure to only submit if you can commit to the role!!
Shoot Dates: 7/12 & 7/13
Will work BOTH days!!
Shoot Location: Atlanta GA area
  • -Must be available to work all day. Shoots can be 12+ hours
  • -All dates subject to change
  • -Must have fulltime availability
  • -Some locations may be outside of perimeter or not on Marta/bus line
COVID-19 TESTING: 7/9/2021
  • -Must have open availability to test on set.
  • -All talent must test on set prior to working
  • -You will be paid for non work day testing
  • -You will be tested multiple times during the week while working
  • -All dates subject to change
OR
  • -Submit PCR tests taken no more than 48hrs before work date. NO RAPID or ANTIGEN TESTS!

Casting Call: Kenyan/East African Actor for Jomo Kenyatta Role in Theatre Production

Job Description
A new theatre production, Liberation, is seeking a talented Kenyan or East African actor to portray Jomo Kenyatta. This production, co-produced by the Manchester International Festival and the Manchester Royal Exchange, will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Pan-African Congress held in Manchester in 1945. The play is music and movement-based, creating a powerful ensemble-driven experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray Jomo Kenyatta, a 54-year-old Kenyan anti-colonial activist and political leader
  • Deliver an authentic and compelling performance reflecting the wisdom and leadership qualities of Kenyatta
  • Collaborate with the ensemble cast in a movement and music-based production
  • Participate in rehearsals and production meetings as required

Requirements

  • Male actor of Kenyan or East African heritage, aged 45-57
  • Must confidently deliver a Kenyan accent
  • Strong stage presence with the ability to embody the character’s charisma and wisdom
  • Prior theatre experience preferred but not required
  • Available for production dates: 26 July – 26 August 2025
