Job Description
A production team is hiring crew members for a proof-of-concept trailer for the upcoming feature film They Just Look at Me Now. The project follows Eve, a witty and carefree woman seeking justice after being sexually assaulted by her boss, only to discover she has been mysteriously cursed by his wife. As Eve navigates the aftermath, she uncovers unexpected powers and forms an unlikely alliance while fighting for accountability.

The proof-of-concept trailer will help establish the visual and narrative tone of the feature film and will be filmed in Kingston, Ontario. The production team is seeking dedicated and creative crew members across multiple departments to help bring this story to life.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the production team to execute the proof-of-concept trailer

• Perform role-specific tasks depending on the assigned crew position

• Support on-set operations, including production, camera, lighting, sound, and art departments

• Maintain professionalism and teamwork throughout the production process

• Assist in creating high-quality visuals and storytelling for the project

Requirements

• Prior experience in film production is preferred for most roles

• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced production environment

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Willingness to contribute creatively and professionally on set

• Available to work locally in the Kingston, Ontario area

Compensation

A student documentary project titled Uncredited Dreams is seeking immigrant filmmakers, cinematographers, and media creatives living in Canada to share their personal journeys in the film industry. The documentary explores the experiences of immigrant artists pursuing careers in Canadian cinema, highlighting the challenges, sacrifices, and unexpected paths encountered along the way.

The project aims to give visibility to the voices and stories of immigrant creatives, particularly those from Latin backgrounds, who are working to build careers in film while navigating life far from home.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in interviews discussing personal experiences in the film industry

• Share insights about career challenges, opportunities, and creative journeys as immigrant filmmakers

• Collaborate with the documentary team during filming or interview sessions

• Help contribute to a meaningful story highlighting immigrant voices in cinema

Requirements

• Immigrant filmmakers, cinematographers, or media creatives currently living in Canada

• Latin creatives are especially encouraged to participate

• Comfortable sharing personal career experiences and perspectives on camera

• Interest in contributing to a documentary exploring immigrant experiences in film
