Job Description: We are seeking Irish and Irish American men, ages 40s-50s, for roles in a new theatrical stage production by an established NYC theater director. This non-union project will require participation in both rehearsals and performances. No acting experience is necessary, as we are looking for individuals who are curious and willing to explore the characters deeply.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the characters of Michael and John, two Irish brothers, in a stage production.
- Participate in all scheduled rehearsals to prepare for the performances.
- Perform in a total of 12 shows during the production run.
- Work closely with the director and fellow cast members to bring the story to life.
Character Descriptions:
- Michael: Male, ages 40s-50s, of Irish descent. Brother of John. Tall, larger-bodied. Curious and willing to delve into the character’s depth. CO-LEAD.
- John: Male, ages 40s-50s, of Irish descent. Brother of Michael. Tall, larger-bodied. Curious and willing to explore the nuances of the character. CO-LEAD.
Requirements:
- Must be of Irish or Irish American descent.
- Males aged 40s-50s.
- Tall and larger-bodied.
- No prior acting experience required, but a willingness to explore and engage with the character is essential.
- Ability to commit to the rehearsal schedule and all performance dates.
