Casting Call: Polish Women for Feature Film

Job Detail: We are excited to announce the start of casting for a new feature film project led by the award-winning filmmaker Michael Winterbottom, known for works such as “Greed”, “24 Hour Party People”, “The Trip”, and in collaboration with Revolution Films. We are seeking talented Polish women to take on various speaking roles set in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, and West Yorkshire. This project presents a unique opportunity to work with a filmmaker of international acclaim.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and perform the character roles as scripted, including dialogue in Polish.
- Collaborate with the director and other cast members to bring the characters to life.
- Attend all scheduled rehearsals, fittings, and filming sessions.
- Provide input and insight into the character development process, utilizing personal experience and background when applicable.
- Participate in promotion of the film as requested by the production team.
Requirements:
- Female actors aged between 20-38 years old.
- Must be based in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, or West Yorkshire, or willing to travel.
- Fluent in Polish, with a preference for those for whom it is their first language.
- No acting experience is required; however, we welcome those with experience who are eager to participate.
- Must not be represented by an agent; represented actors should apply via their agent.
- Availability from the start to finish of the film production, with a commitment to the project’s schedule.
Compensation:
- All participants in the film will be paid. Details of compensation will be provided during the casting process.
- The casting process is completely free, from start to finish.

Requirements

Must be comfortable being filmed in public, outdoor conditions.

Ability to take direction, remain focused, and repeat actions for multiple takes.

For runner roles: must be able to jog/run comfortably as needed for scenes.

Must be able to provide your own wardrobe that fits the requested early-2000s marathon vibe (guidance/mood board referenced by production).
