Freelance Casting Director for Fashion and Branded Content

A boutique creative studio is hiring an experienced freelance casting professional to join its expanding team. This is a flexible, remote-friendly opportunity for someone who brings deep fashion industry knowledge, strong agency relationships, and the ability to curate visually striking talent presentations across editorial, advertising, and branded content campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead casting for editorial shoots, fashion campaigns, and branded video projects

• Build and present creative casting decks aligned with brand aesthetics and campaign goals

• Source talent both locally and globally depending on project scope and budget

• Collaborate with production teams to ensure casting aligns with timelines and deliverables

• Negotiate talent rates, usage, and contractual terms with agencies and managers

• Maintain relationships with top modeling agencies, managers, and emerging talent

• Work independently and on-location as needed with the ability to scale resources quickly

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fashion advertising, editorial, or branded content

• Deep understanding of fashion, art, celebrity, and pop culture

• Established network of model and talent agents across key markets

• High-level organizational and communication skills

• Refined visual sensibility and strong creative direction capabilities

• Must be comfortable with remote collaboration and freelance flexibility

• NYC-based preferred but not required
