Position Summary: The Video Production & Editing Specialist is responsible for filming and editing commercials, product demos, how to videos, Product photography, etc. This includes assembling interviews, sound bites, product shots, music and graphics. We follow a basic structure for each project but within the context of our structure there is always room for creativity. This is a heavily detail-oriented position and deadlines are crucial.

Essential Functions:

  • Producing commercials, product demos, how to videos etc.
  • Maintaining Camera, Audio and Lighting gear
  • Organizing, archiving and maintaining projects for future use
  • Some light After Effects work and basic graphic animation
  • Creating graphics in After Effects from original ideas to pre-made templates which will be used in videos
  • Product and Endorsee Photography
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

  • Adobe Premiere CC and Final Cut (7) experience
  • Maxon Cinema 4D/Maya 3D modeling
  • Mac and PC operating systems knowledge
  • Contemporary knowledge of all aspects of video production, to include hardware and software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of web compressions, file conversion and DVD authoring
  • Knowledge of lighting a shot and understanding of how to correctly white balance cameras
  • Knowledge of POV and DLSR cameras
  • Ability to work productively both independently and as a team

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Photoshop experience
  • Shooting for Broadcast editing experience
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • After Effects experience
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology and industry standards
  • Ability to execute new processes, procedures, and standards, in an environment of continuous improvement
  • Understanding of how to set up time-lapse shots
  • Still photography experience from natural to studio settings

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean environment. The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping and significant fine finger dexterity.

Travel: Minimal, 10-15%
