Job Description
A non-profit organization dedicated to grief and bereavement care is casting real families for a heartfelt public service announcement (PSA) video. The project aims to bring awareness to families coping with the loss of a loved one, capturing a moving and emotional scene around a dinner table during the holidays.
Job Responsibilities

Participate as a family in a filmed scene representing togetherness and remembrance.

Sit for a family-style dinner setup where one chair symbolizes a lost loved one.

Follow the director’s guidance to portray authentic and emotional moments.

Maintain professionalism and cooperation throughout the shoot day.
Requirements

Real families of 3–7 members (can include kids, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.).

All genders, ethnicities, and body types are encouraged to apply.

Must be local to Vancouver or Lower Mainland (no travel or accommodation provided).

Non-union production.
Compensation
-
$600 per family member.

Example: Family of 4 receives $2,400; family of 5 receives $3,000.

Casting Wheelchair User and Indigenous Individual for PSA Campaign
Job Description
A public service announcement campaign is seeking two featured roles to represent real stories with authenticity and impact. The project will film in Toronto and aims to cast individuals who embody the character of a teacher and a leader, highlighting inclusivity and diverse representation. This is a great opportunity to be featured in a meaningful, nationally seen campaign.
Job Responsibilities

Portray the role of a teacher or leader in a scripted PSA campaign

Participate in casting recall, wardrobe fitting, and scheduled shoot days

Deliver lines naturally and authentically on camera

Engage in direction from production during all stages of filming
Requirements
-
Wheelchair User: Any gender, age 25–45, to play the role of a teacher
-
Indigenous Individual: Any gender, age 30–60, to play the role of a leader
-
Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
-
Available for recall (Zoom for wheelchair users), wardrobe fitting, and shoot dates
-
Non-union performers are welcome
Compensation

Approx. $3,500 per person based on edit inclusion and usage

ACTRA commercial campaign

Usage includes all lifts and broadcast coverage
-
Some roles may require multiple shoot days
