Job Description

A SAG Micro Project short film is seeking one Hair and Makeup Artist (HMUA) for a paid one-day production in West Hollywood. The project features a small, focused crew and two principal actors, one male and one female.Both actors are expected to arrive largely camera-ready, so the role will primarily involve light makeup, hair preparation, and touch-ups to maintain continuity and an appropriate on-camera appearance throughout filming.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide light hair and makeup services for two principal actors.
• Perform hair and makeup touch-ups throughout filming as needed.
• Maintain consistent on-camera looks for both performers.
• Work efficiently alongside a small production crew.
• Keep performers camera-ready throughout the shoot.

Requirements

• Experience providing hair and makeup services for film or on-camera productions preferred.
• Comfortable working with both male and female performers.
• Able to handle light makeup and hair touch-ups independently.
• Must be available to work in West Hollywood.

Compensation

• $300 per day.
• Paid one-day production.

“Bloodline,” a supernatural student short film, is seeking a Makeup and SFX Artist who can also appear as background talent. With a story centered around vampire siblings and a troubled family reunion, the production is looking for someone interested in contributing to the film’s makeup and special-effects needs while gaining additional on-set experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with makeup and special-effects makeup needs.
• Support character looks required for the supernatural story.
• Maintain makeup continuity as needed.
• Appear as an extra when requested.
