Job Details: We are casting for a poignant feature film set in the late 1990s and present day. The story revolves around Sasha, an eight-year-old girl from a Hungarian immigrant family, and her journey navigating family crises influenced by her brother’s behavioral issues. The narrative spans over decades, exploring themes of family dynamics, migration, and personal growth.
Roles Available:
- Friend 3 (Principal Role): Female, aged 7-11, open ethnicity. This character is perceived as a “cool girl” by her peers. She is not very vocal about her thoughts but commands respect through her distinctive fashion sense and confident demeanor. The role requires a young actor who can convey subtlety and a sense of maturity beyond her years. Please note that the performer may be seen in swimwear.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the director and fellow actors to bring the script to life.
- Attend all scheduled rehearsals and shooting days.
- Participate in costume fittings and makeup sessions as required.
- Maintain a professional demeanor on set and adhere to the director’s guidance.
- Be prepared to work various hours based on the shooting schedule, which may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
Requirements:
- Must be a local resident of Vancouver or able to work in Vancouver without additional accommodation provisions.
- Previous acting experience in theater, film, or television preferred.
- Must be comfortable appearing in swimwear as required by the role.
- Ability to follow directions and effectively communicate with cast and crew.
- Must be able to handle emotional scenes and carry a significant presence on screen.
- Non-union.
Compensation:
- Principal roles: $250 per day.
- Compensation is based on a daily rate and will be provided according to the number of shoot days required.
- Payment will be processed post-shooting via check or direct deposit.
