Job Description: Casting directors are now casting, actors and dancers to work on scenes filming in Atlanta, Dance and Music Academy, on July 5th o/a September 11th. Must be available to work full-time. 

Casting: Role # 3

  • Female
  • Age Range: 21-29 years old
  • All ethnicities
    • Strong skills in classical, contemporary, jazz, and ballet
    • Charismatic, with a strong stage presence
    • Upper body strength is important
    • She will dance, improvise and interact with the audience
    • MUST be 5’5” – 5’8” tall
    • No tattoos on arms, back, neck or face
    • Strong upper body strength required
    • Aerial skills strongly preferred
    • Atlanta based talent only, or talent that can work as an Atlanta local. 

Covid Test: TBA

Rehearsals Date: o/a June 29-July 14, 2022. (10 hour min. work schedule)

Performances Date:  July 5- o/a Sept 11, 2022
(Show runs 90 minutes. 2 shows Wed/Thurs. 3 shows Fri-Sunday.)

Rate: $1500/week 
Rehearsal weeks paid at a higher rate (TBD pending hours worked).

Job Description
A powerful and emotionally resonant full-length theater production is casting femme-presenting actors who can play ages 19–20 for a four-week run in Brooklyn. The play explores complex themes surrounding identity, belonging, and the psychological pressures young women face in pursuit of perfection. Performances will take place at the Makers Ensemble Makers’ Space with a Thursday–Sunday schedule. This is a non-equity production offering both guaranteed pay and profit-sharing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Rehearse and perform in a mainstage theater production

  • Portray emotionally complex roles with authenticity and commitment

  • Collaborate with a creative team focused on storytelling and character depth

  • Participate in profit-sharing as part of an ensemble cast

  • Perform consistently over a four-week run, Thursday through Sunday

Requirements

  • Femme-presenting talent who can believably play age 19–20

  • Must be available for full production run: September 25 to October 19

  • Able to commit to rehearsals and tech schedule with up to three allowable conflicts

  • Comfortable exploring mature content including themes of mental health and identity

Compensation

  • Guaranteed minimum of $150

  • Profit share model: 60% of show profits split among cast and crew

These in-person auditions will be held at the company’s Kansas City location, with opportunities for video submissions available.
