NOW CASTING REAL PEOPLE WITH REAL STORIES IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN!!
A new, neutral and non-biased, national news network is looking for people in Detroit, Flint, and the surrounding areas to share their real stories in a series of promotional commercials.
They are looking to shoot either the week of Sept 7th or 13th, 2021, in SE MI.
The rate is $1000 ($500 shoot session fee and $500 one year media buyout (may be $1000 if they do 2 years)) for the project.
Open to 18 and older, all ethnicities, all genders.
They are looking for stories of hope and positive change in the face of challenges, based around the core themes of: crime, infrastructure, jobs (AI/robots/economy), climate/environment, tech.
Some examples of the kinds of stories I’m looking for are:
- – A closed BBQ restaurant pitmaster finds a second act bringing their signature BBQ to the world from home.
- – A small business thrives when forced to get creative in the face of an ever changing world.
- – The survivors of gun violence (or their family) find hope in justice.
- – A teen from an under-resourced neighborhood is delivered to a university.
- – A social worker works with a homeless person to get them a job.
- – A prisoner Tastes freedom with their champion.
- – A shuttered video game arcade is resurrected. (Could also be movie theater or other entertainment business like a theme park.)

Job Description
Mastersons Magic is gauging interest from female multidisciplinary performers for potential future touring opportunities with a professional illusion show. The production is building a list of performers who may be interested in a potential 3–6 month touring contract, with performances taking place both on land and at sea. The opportunity is suited to women with strong stage presence and performance skills in areas such as dance, aerial arts, circus, theatre, acting, variety entertainment, or other specialty disciplines.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform as part of a professional touring illusion production.
- Participate in theatrical illusions, audience-focused performances, and rehearsals.
- Bring individual performance skills and strong stage presence to the show.
- Work collaboratively with the production team and follow performance direction.
- Travel as required for potential U.S. and international engagements.
Requirements
- Female performers.
- Strong stage presence, confidence, charisma, and audience connection.
- Performance skills in dance, aerial, circus, theatre, acting, variety arts, or another specialty are encouraged.
- Professional experience in magic, theatre, dance, circus, touring productions, or live entertainment is a plus.
- Must be comfortable working with theatrical illusions.
- Previous magician’s assistant experience is not required.
