The Associate Digital Content Producer is a true “team player” with a wide array of creative talents. What we’re looking for: The digital producer will be responsible for enterprising, writing, copy editing, and posting news stories on all digital platforms. He/she is responsible for coming up with ideas as well as executing on those assigned by editors. Digital producers must have excellent news judgement and an ability to work well under tight deadlines and without constant supervision.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write, copy edit, and prioritize enterprise and breaking news content under the direction of the Digital Executive Producer
  • Take an active role in adapting Spectrum News content effectively for digital platforms
  • Work collaboratively to aggressively pursue new, interesting, developing stories and use news judgment to effectively prioritize when and how they are presented across all digital platforms
  • Collaborate with news reporting staff on presentation of their stories on the website and social media, utilizing best practices
  • Apply SEO techniques to increase visibility of content
  • Participate in news editorial meetings to provide story ideas and digital content suggestions
  • Interact with followers on the network’s social media accounts and grow the audience
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the digital team across the Spectrum Networks footprint on items including editorial projects and network initiatives
  • When assigned, work with other departments on initiatives that require content integration
  • Work with various programs, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere to produce high quality digital elements to accompany news content
  • Stay familiar with trends within the industry to support creative direction

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with news editorial, creative, and administrative personnel
  • Strong writing and editing skills including knowledge and adherence to AP style

The Role: Digital Producer

We’re seeking a successful self-starter with at least five years of direct digital production experience to join the creative team. Content Creation:

    • Manage a range of short-term and long-term payment relationships such-as flat-fee or commission-based (affiliate).
    • Lead targeted projects and support all campaigns in the field of influencer marketing, content advertising, paid PR, and online reputation management.
    • Track content and digital trends around the world and in assigned markets test new formats and optimize performance.
    • Create plans and work on targeted messaging for all booked content, brief the partners and review all delivered content before publishing so that the quality of created content is at the desired levels.
    • Conduct training, mentoring, or otherwise help team members improve their knowledge or skills

Your qualifications:

    • 2+ years’ experience in Content Advertising agencies or a similar in-house role. Senior applicants are welcome as we grow the unit.
    • Possess the love of content advertising and finding new unexpected ways to organically tell the story of the brand/product.
    • Experience with affiliate advertising (not a condition but a plus)
    • Be extremely well organized and accountable: to-do lists, sheets, automatized reports, project management software.
    • Maintain a high level of independence and responsibility for achieving results.
    • Fuse an analytical, business-oriented approach to meeting objectives, with a clear understanding of what makes content memorable.
    • Native or Fluent level of English and excellent communications skills (written and verbal) including presentation and speaking skills.

Junior Content Producer (Level 3)

Vacancy description

The Apprentices roles and responsibilities consists of but is not limited to:

  • Use strong creative and storytelling abilities to edit corporate footage into video content that meets the client brief
  • The role will involve dissecting a brief to put together a video that is sleek, professional and engaging
  • You will collaborate with the Senior Creative Team to produce a cohesive end product that surpasses all expectations
  • Organisation, creativity, story-telling, collaboration and innovation are key parts of this role

Key Skills:

  • Strong editing skills, preferably with FCPX and Mac OSX
  • Photography and competency in Photoshop
  • Understanding of camera equipment, lighting and audio
  • Good spoken and written skills to interpret a client brief, liaise with the client throughout a project and deliver professional video content
  • Competent storytelling ability to create a compelling video
  • Client interaction on site and through email
  • Ability to correct and grade footage
  • Sourcing and creating additional media including images, stock video and motion graphics
  • Ability to effectively manage time and schedules
  • Possesses a strong eye for detail
  • Excellent organisation skills for editing and managing secure media library per project
  • Identifying areas of improvement with SEO and other marketing performance metrics

With the chance for earning also comes the chance for learning as the Apprentice will be working towards an industry accredited Level 3 qualification in the Junior Content Producer Apprenticeship program; which will offer training relating to the development and creation of content that can be used across a wide variety of media.

Requirements and prospects
Qualifications Required

At least 5 GCSE’s graded C/4 or above including English and Maths.

Skills Required

  • Technical understanding of editing software
  • An enthusiastic and competent photographer or camera operator with experience of setting up cameras, lighting and audio equipment
  • Ability to compose and frame a shot
  • Proficient in Adobe CC Suite – Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with clients during filming
  • Being a proactive, enthusiastic member of the Company
