Job Description

A feature-length dramatic film titled What Was Stolen is casting paid speaking roles for local actors. The project explores crime, loyalty, power, and family ties within a high-stakes urban setting. This production is seeking strong performers who can bring depth, intensity, and emotional range to complex characters in a dramatic narrative.


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a principal speaking role in a feature film production

  • Collaborate professionally with the director, cast, and production team

  • Portray emotionally driven scenes that include suspense, confrontation, and dramatic tension

  • Attend rehearsals, table reads, and filming sessions as required

  • Follow production guidelines and maintain professionalism on set


Requirements

  • Must be a local actor able to work as a Houston-area hire

  • Strong acting ability with experience in dramatic or crime-based roles preferred

  • Comfortable portraying intense, emotionally charged characters

  • Must be reliable, professional, and able to take direction

  • Open to African American male and female performers depending on role

Roles Being Cast Include:

  • Rex: African American male, antagonist, intimidating and unpredictable street debt enforcer

  • Marcus: African American male, calm, powerful figure with a mysterious past

  • Michelle Carter: African American female, mid-30s, strong-willed mother and survivor with street smarts
