Job Description
A student short film titled The Belltower Chronicles is now casting actors for various roles. Set in the 1800s, the story follows a skeptical physician who must unravel layers of mystery, coincidence, and conspiracy to confront the powers of evil plaguing his town.
This is a student production, making it an excellent opportunity for emerging actors to gain valuable on-set experience, build their reels, and work alongside passionate filmmakers.
Job Responsibilities

Portray assigned characters authentically within the 19th-century historical context.

Attend full-day weekend filming sessions and potential rehearsals.

Collaborate closely with the director and production team.

Maintain professionalism and reliability throughout production.

Participate in any promotional photos or materials if needed.
Requirements

Open to actors of various ages (10–65 years old), depending on role.

Must be comfortable performing in a period setting (1800s).

Prior acting experience is a plus but not required.

Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork are essential.
Casting for the following roles:

Dr. Jared Grady (Lead): Male, 20–40. A mysterious Plague Doctor, firm and unfriendly. Protagonist.

Dr. Matthew Portley: Male, 20–40. Deceptive and assertive physician. Rival to Dr. Grady. Antagonist.

Father Edward James: Male, 30–65. Manipulative but soft-spoken priest. Secondary antagonist.

Ms. Gail Langley: Female, 20–50. A patient of the physicians.

Mr. Bradley Crane: Male, 20–50. Skeptical brother of Gail, argumentative.

Mrs. Susan Ring: Female, 30–60. Patient of the physicians.

Mr. David Ring: Male, 30–60. Husband of Susan Ring, has a few lines.

Abigail Ring: Female, 10–20. Daughter of Susan Ring, non-speaking role.
