Job Description
Universal Studios Hollywood is now casting performers for Halloween Horror Nights 2026. Casting directors are seeking energetic and physically capable scare actors to portray a variety of terrifying characters for the popular live horror attraction. Performers should be comfortable with improvisation, physical movement, and working in immersive themed environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray horror characters during live Halloween Horror Nights performances
- Perform improvisation and scare-based interactions with guests
- Work in themed environments with lighting, fog, and special effects
- Wear costumes, masks, and makeup prosthetics during performances
- Complete multiple performance sets throughout each shift
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Comfortable performing in dark and physically demanding environments
- Ability to move freely in costumes and masks
- Comfortable with physical performance and repetitive movement
- Some roles may require lifting up to 35 pounds
- Strong improvisation and performance skills preferred
Compensation
- Rates start at $20 per hour
