Job Description
A heartfelt short film is casting actors for lead, supporting, day player, and extra roles. “Beyond The Stages of Grief” explores love, loss, and the quiet moments of healing after tragedy. This project will be filmed in Austin, TX, and is seeking talented Texas-based actors who can bring emotional depth, subtlety, and authenticity to the story.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned roles with emotional authenticity and professionalism

  • Collaborate with directors and cast to bring the story to life

  • Attend rehearsals, filming, and callbacks as required

  • Participate in both dialogue-driven and silent, reaction-based scenes

Requirements

  • Texas-based talent only (Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and surrounding areas)

  • Must be comfortable with emotional and vulnerable material

  • Roles include:

    • Caleb (Lead, Male, 30s–40s, any ethnicity): A grieving husband navigating loss

    • Elias (Supporting, Male, 30s–40s, any ethnicity): A loyal friend offering compassion and honesty

    • Police Officer #1 (Day Player, Any Gender, 25–55, any ethnicity): Calm, professional presence in a powerful scene

    • Group Member (Day Player, Any Gender, 18–65, any ethnicity): Ensemble role with subtle reactions

    • Extras (Any Gender, 18–65, any ethnicity): Police officer, partygoers, and grief support group members
