Job Description
An independent narrative film production is seeking a passionate Director of Photography (DP)/Cinematographer for The Last Hospital, a community-centered drama inspired by real events in Chester, Pennsylvania. The project features a completed script, identified filming locations, and a largely finalized cast.
The production team is looking for a creative filmmaker who enjoys visual storytelling and is interested in collaborating on a low-budget independent film scheduled for production in the Summer/Fall season.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the Director of Photography/Cinematographer for the film.
- Collaborate with the writer, director, and production team to establish the visual style of the project.
- Plan and execute camera setups, lighting, and shot compositions.
- Assist in developing the visual storytelling approach for key scenes.
- Work with production staff to ensure efficient filming operations.
- Help bring the film’s dramatic narrative to life through compelling cinematography.
Requirements
- Experience as a Director of Photography, Cinematographer, or Camera Operator.
- Strong understanding of narrative filmmaking techniques.
- Passion for independent film production and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a low-budget production environment.
- Must provide a reel, website, portfolio, or examples of previous work.
- Experience with dramatic or narrative projects is preferred.
