Job Description

Casting directors are seeking talent for a paid lead role in an upcoming short film/music visual shooting in London. The production is looking for someone to step into the role of “Ainy,” a confident and emotionally layered character featured in a story centered around friendship, tension, timing, and unspoken feelings between two women.

This project features a queer storyline focused on emotional connection rather than physical intimacy and will be filmed in a relaxed and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray the lead character “Ainy” in a short film/music visual production
  • Participate in outdoor basketball court scenes and natural summer-themed sequences
  • Collaborate closely with the creative team during filming
  • Deliver emotionally authentic and natural on-camera performances
  • Attend scheduled filming sessions during the production week

Requirements

  • Seeking actors in their early 20s to 30s
  • Prioritizing POC talent
  • Must be expressive, natural on camera, and have strong screen presence
  • Good chemistry and emotional performance ability preferred
  • Acting, modeling, or video experience is a plus but not required
  • Applicants must submit:
    • Recent photo or selfie
    • Age
    • Any acting/modeling/video experience
    • Availability for the shooting week

Compensation Details

  • Paid role
  • Compensation at minimum UK Equity short film rate
  • Maximum 4-hour shoot
  • Relaxed and collaborative production environment
