Job Responsibilities

Compensation

• Workday rate: $150
• Fitting rate: $50 (approximately 1-hour session)

Casting Call: Background Extras for Limited Series “Murdaugh Murders”

Job Description
A limited series based on the real-life drama of the Murdaugh family is seeking background extras to portray a variety of roles. Filming will take place in locations across the greater Atlanta area, including Doraville, Monroe, and Lake Lanier. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile project for NBC/Universal Television.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray specific background roles including family members, law enforcement, medical staff, and courtroom attendees.
• Participate in filming during a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
• Collaborate with the production team to bring authenticity to the scenes.

Requirements

• Must be available for filming in Atlanta and surrounding locations.
• Open to the following roles:
  • Police, sheriff, and detective types.
  • Real medical staff such as nurses, doctors, and EMTs.
  • Law firm staff, including lawyers and other professionals.
  • Courtroom types such as judges, stenographers, and court attendees.
  • South Carolina locals for party scenes and Low Country vibes.
  • Men and women with 1970–1990 pickup trucks or cars.
  • Reporters, photographers, and videographers (real experience is a bonus).
• Special ability rates apply for certain roles, including medical and police professionals.

Compensation

• Standard rate: $100 per day with overtime after 8 hours.
• Stand-in/photo double rate: $196 per 12-hour day, plus overtime after 12 hours.
• Special ability rates and additional bumps apply to specific roles or vehicle use.
• Most filming days will be 12 hours or more, with adjusted pay for extended hours.
