Casting Call: Actor for “Knoxville” at Clarence Brown Theatre

Job Description: The Clarence Brown Theatre is urgently seeking a talented actor of any gender identity, aged between 16-45, to join the cast of “Knoxville,” directed by Josh Rhodes. This is a late replacement for another actor who has left the show. This role requires the ability to play the violin and sing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform in the production of “Knoxville” as a cast member.
  • Play the violin during the performance.
  • Sing during the performance.
  • Attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances.
  • Collaborate effectively with the director, cast, and crew.

Requirements:

  • Age range: 16-45.
  • Must be able to play the violin.
  • Must be able to sing.
  • Availability for rehearsals starting July 30th.
  • Availability for performances from September 4th to September 22nd.
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to the production.
  • Ability to collaborate in a professional theater environment.

Compensation Details:

  • This role offers a competitive stipend commensurate with experience.
  • If you are an undergraduate student, housing assistance will be provided if needed before the academic year begins.
