Casting is now open for A Better Life, a faith-based short series exploring injustice, faith, and moral courage through the eyes of a foreign worker on a rural Canadian farm. The project seeks authentic and grounded performances from actors who can convey quiet emotion, depth, and realism.

This non-union, micro-budget production offers a meaningful opportunity to participate in a story rooted in Christian values and Bible-based themes. The series promotes moral reflection and courage without political messaging or advocacy.

Filming will take place in Courtice, Ontario from October 26–31.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray characters with emotional authenticity and moral complexity

• Collaborate with the director and creative team to achieve natural, grounded storytelling

• Participate in scheduled rehearsals and shoot days in Courtice, ON

• Embody the spirit and values of the show’s faith-based narrative

Requirements

• Open to non-union talent

• Strong acting ability with focus on subtle, realistic performances

• Comfortable performing in faith-based productions

• Must be available during the filming period (October 26–31, 2025)

• Must be able to travel to Courtice, Ontario

Compensation Details

• Micro-budget paid production
• Meals and on-screen credit provided
• Flat fee or honorarium based on role and experience
