Job Description

Now casting for Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, a thrilling and mysterious stage production filled with intrigue, suspense, and unforgettable characters. We are seeking talented actors of all backgrounds to bring this classic story to life on stage at The Suffolk Y JCC’s Star Playhouse.

This is an excellent opportunity for performers who enjoy character-driven storytelling, ensemble work, and classic murder mystery theatre.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray assigned characters with authenticity, precision, and dramatic flair.

  • Attend rehearsals, callbacks, and all scheduled performances.

  • Collaborate closely with the director and fellow cast members to create engaging, cohesive scenes.

  • Commit to memorizing lines, blocking, and cues by assigned deadlines.

  • Maintain professionalism and punctuality throughout the production process.

Requirements

  • Open to all actors; all roles are available.

  • Must provide a current headshot and acting resume.

  • Strong stage presence and ability to perform in an ensemble cast.

  • Reliable attendance for rehearsals and performance dates.

  • Prior theatre experience preferred but not required.

  • Unpaid community theatre production
