Job Description
A non-union coming-of-age drama short film is seeking dedicated crew members to join a small, collaborative production team. The film explores themes of friendship and goodbyes through a character-driven story. This independent passion project will be filmed in a single interior location and offers an opportunity for emerging and experienced crew members to gain hands-on production experience while collaborating on an emotionally driven short film.

The production is currently seeking crew for the following roles:

• First Assistant Director (1st AD)

• Art Assistant

• Gaffer’s Assistant

• Sound Mixer / Boom Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the production team in executing daily filming operations.

• Support department leads with on-set coordination and technical tasks.

• Maintain clear communication with cast and crew throughout production.

• Help ensure scenes are filmed efficiently and safely within the production schedule.

• Contribute to a collaborative and professional environment on set.

Requirements

• Previous experience in film or media production is preferred but not required.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a small, fast-paced production environment.

• Reliable, organized, and passionate about filmmaking.

• Must be available to work on location in San Diego.

Compensation
