Job Description
A feature film currently in production is casting a variety of background extras for upcoming shoot dates. The project is seeking non-union talent to portray corporate executives, law students, courtroom attendees, and law enforcement officers. Scenes will be filmed in the Houston area, and each background role is only needed for one shoot day unless otherwise noted. This is an excellent opportunity to gain on-set experience and work on a professional film set.
Job Responsibilities

Portray assigned background roles in various scripted scenes

Follow on-set direction from the assistant director and production staff

Arrive on time and be prepared for a full day of filming

Maintain consistency and professionalism throughout the shoot
Requirements

Corporate Executives: Men and women, age 35+, all ethnicities

Law Students: Men and women, age 25–35, all ethnicities

Courtroom/Bailiff: Physically fit, available all day

Texas Police Officers: Men and women, age 30+, physically fit, average build

Spanish Police Officers: Men and women, age 30+, Hispanic/Latino, physically fit, average build

Must not have worked previously as an extra on this project

These supporting roles offer the chance to bring raw, emotionally charged characters to life with depth and realism in a transformative cinematic narrative.
Job Responsibilities

Perform scripted supporting roles that enhance the emotional landscape of the story

Deliver expressive performances, both verbal and nonverbal, to reflect healing, suffering, and inner change

Collaborate closely with the director and lead cast members

The supernatural short film Wings is casting background extras to portray gritty, street-level characters living on society’s edge. Set in a raw urban environment touched by mystical forces, this story centers on a mysterious healer and the lives he affects. Background performers will help bring authenticity and depth to the world of the film, populating scenes with emotionally charged presence and visual realism.
Job Responsibilities

Portray homeless individuals, addicts, and drifters in atmospheric background scenes
