Southern Social Media is hiring a freelance Photographer + Videographer to join its Nashville creative team. This contract opportunity involves producing visual content for brands across Nashville and beyond, including restaurants, retail businesses, lifestyle brands, events, medical spas, and food and beverage clients. The ideal creative is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and skilled at finding compelling angles that create scroll-stopping content.

Job Responsibilities

• Capture professional brand photography for Southern Social Media clients.
• Produce content for food and beverage, restaurants, retail, lifestyle, events, medical spas, and other brands.
• Capture social-first photos and video footage designed for digital platforms.
• Edit all photography from assigned shoots.
• Capture raw video footage for Southern Social Media’s in-house editors to edit.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high creative and technical standards.

Requirements

• Professional photography and videography skills.
• Must have your own professional camera equipment.
• Ability to keep equipment current and invest in your craft.
• Strong understanding of lighting, composition, visual storytelling, movement, and creative angles.
• Ability to identify trends and create engaging, scroll-stopping content.
• Dependable, punctual, positive, and comfortable working as part of a creative team.
• Must be able to meet fast turnaround expectations.

Compensation

Paid freelance/contract position. Compensation includes drive time, shoot time, photography editing time, and required meetings and training.
