A dramatic short film titled She Never Really Left is casting for lead, supporting, and minor roles. The story follows an elderly Cuban woman guided through her past memories by her father’s ghost. This non-union project seeks Hispanic actors who can portray deep emotional journeys across different life stages, with filming in Winter Park, Florida.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray the assigned character with emotional depth and authenticity.

• Memorize lines and attend all scheduled rehearsals and filming days.

• Collaborate with the director and fellow cast members.

• Be available for the shooting dates from Monday, February 23rd, through Friday, February 27th, 2026.

• Maria (Lead): Female, Hispanic, early 40s to early 60s. English/Spanish speaking.

• Young Maria (Supporting): Female, Hispanic, early to mid-20s. English/Spanish speaking.

• Middle Maria (Supporting): Female, Hispanic, mid-20s to early 30s. English speaking.

• Manolo (Supporting): Male, Hispanic, early 40s to late 40s. English/Spanish speaking.

• Isabella (Supporting): Female, Hispanic, early 20s to late 20s. English/Spanish speaking.

• Worried Woman (Minor): Female, Hispanic, early 30s to late 30s. English/Spanish speaking.

• Nervous Man (Minor): Male, Hispanic, early 30s to late 30s. English/Spanish speaking.

• Blank Guy (Minor): Male, Hispanic, early 30s to late 30s. English/Spanish speaking.

• All actors must be available for the Winter Park, Florida shoot in February 2026.

• Digital auditions are being accepted until Friday, January 23rd, 2025.

Compensation

• This is a non-union film project.
