Rachel Sheridan Casting is seeking a young girl to play a key role in the upcoming BBC1 series, The Dream Lands. This is an exciting opportunity for a child actor to join a major production, even with no prior acting experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray a character in a major BBC1 series, with dialogue and scenes reflecting the authentic experiences of a young girl.
• Participate in filming sessions scheduled between mid-February and early June.
• Collaborate with the director and crew to deliver a natural, genuine performance.

Requirements:

• Age: Must be 5 years old (girls up to 8 years old may apply if they look 5).
• Accent: Authentic working-class London/Kent accent.
• Ethnicity: Must be either Caucasian, Latina, or Hispanic.
• Eye Color: Must have dark hair and green, blue, grey, or hazel eyes (not brown).
• Parental Guidance: A parent or guardian must apply on the child’s behalf and accompany them during filming.

Compensation:

• Pay will be provided based on industry standards.
• Travel and accommodation for the child and one chaperone will be covered by the production team.
• Production will handle required child licenses and liaise with schools or local education authorities as needed.

Job Description: We are thrilled to announce an open casting call for a new major BBC 1 drama series titled “The Dream Lands.” We are looking to meet enthusiastic individuals from the local areas of Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and Herne Bay, aged between 17-23 years, to feature in this exciting project scheduled for shooting in 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate as a cast member in the upcoming BBC 1 series.

• Follow the directions provided by the production team and director to bring your character to life.

• Maintain professionalism and punctuality throughout the filming schedule.

Requirements:

• Must be aged between 17-23 years.

• No previous acting or performing experience required.

• Must be available from early August to mid-December 2024 for filming.
