Job Description
A production team is casting for the role of Ms. Lily in an upcoming San Francisco State University thesis film. This paid opportunity is ideal for actors interested in working on a student-led narrative project with a compelling story.

The film follows a young man confronting a mysterious monster lurking in his closet. Ms. Lily is the school counselor who tries to support the young character despite a language barrier. Through patience and dedication, she works to communicate with him, even learning some Spanish along the way.

The role requires an actor capable of delivering emotional and thoughtful dialogue while portraying a compassionate and understanding character.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray the role of Ms. Lily, a school counselor, in a narrative thesis film

  • Deliver dialogue in Spanish at an elementary level

  • Collaborate with the director and production team during filming

  • Participate in rehearsals and filming as scheduled

  • Bring authenticity and emotional depth to the character

Requirements

  • Female actor

  • Early to mid-20s

  • Ability to speak Spanish (elementary level accepted)

  • Asian, Southeast Asian, or Pacific Islander preferred, though all backgrounds are encouraged to apply

  • Comfortable performing in a student film production environment

  • Ability to participate in filming in California

Compensation Details

  • $150 flat rate

  • Meals provided

  • Approximately 5–6 hours on set
