Job Description:
New York City Children’s Theater is seeking non-equity performers to portray Ashe in the Off-Broadway world premiere of The Pocket Park Kids. This groundbreaking production brings the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to life in a vibrant, thought-provoking play. Ashe is a key character who embodies leadership, athleticism, and determination.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray Ashe, a 12-year-old athlete who is disciplined and believes he knows best.
- Collaborate with the creative team to bring depth and authenticity to the character.
- Attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances in Midtown Manhattan.
- Engage with the ensemble to deliver a dynamic and cohesive performance.
Requirements:
- Non-equity performers only.
- Actors of all races, gender identities, disabilities, and body types are encouraged to audition.
- Puppetry skills are a plus but not required.
- Must be a New York local hire and available for all workshop, rehearsal, and performance dates.
- Submissions must include a self-tape audition showcasing your suitability for the role of Ashe.
Compensation:
- $4,800 (favored nations rate).
