Job Description
An independent non-union feature film shooting in Ottawa is now casting local actors for a variety of supporting roles. The production follows a desperate man whose life spirals out of control after a failed crypto scheme leads to a dangerous kidnapping plot involving an author he once admired. Producers are seeking talented performers for emotionally grounded and character-driven supporting roles.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray supporting characters in an independent narrative film
  • Deliver authentic and emotionally engaging performances
  • Follow direction from the film’s director and production team
  • Attend scheduled filming and rehearsals as required
  • Collaborate professionally with cast and crew throughout production

Requirements
Production is casting for the following supporting roles:

  • Male, 20s–30s – polished and charming realtor with opportunistic tendencies
  • Female, 30s – warm, emotionally open, and naturally captivating
  • Female, 60s – sharp and authoritative literary agent
  • Male, 40s – firm, rule-driven manager with controlled intensity
  • Female, 30s–40s – witty and blunt agent role (voice/supporting)
  • Male, 20s–40s – loud blue-collar coworker
  • Female, 70s–80s – sweet and gentle grandmother
  • Female, 60s–70s – maternal supporting voice role
  • Female, 40s–60s – kind coworker role
  • Young adult couple roles – late 20s, optimistic first-time homebuyers
  • Female, 20s–30s – observant and quietly sharp supporting character
