Job Description
An independent documentary exploring culture and identity within the African diaspora is seeking a passionate and skilled crew for a two-day shoot in New York City. This project has already filmed in Ghana and London, and this U.S. shoot will capture the final interviews before moving into post-production. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a meaningful and self-funded indie project with a dedicated team.
Job Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the director and production team to ensure smooth shoot operations

Operate equipment with professionalism and technical skill

Capture high-quality visuals and sound to align with documentary standards

Assist in production tasks to keep the shoot running efficiently

Provide hair, makeup, and styling support for on-camera interviews
Requirements

DP with experience using Blackmagic cameras

Sound operator with kit

Hair and makeup professional (HMU)

Production Assistant (PA)

Prior experience on indie projects preferred

Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation
