Job Description:
A student short film is now casting talent for two lead roles in Pulling Punches, a compelling character-driven project exploring trauma, revenge, and personal transformation. Set in a gritty urban environment, this emotionally rich narrative follows a young man coping with violence through intense physical training and the relationships he builds along the way. Performers should be skilled in dramatic storytelling and comfortable working closely with an emerging filmmaker for a student production.

Job Responsibilities:
• Portray emotionally complex characters with authenticity
• Participate in scheduled rehearsals and shoot dates
• Collaborate with a small, passionate student crew
• Take direction during both remote auditions and on-set filming

Requirements:
• Elias (Male, early 20s, any ethnicity): A quiet, anxious young man haunted by a recent mugging. He joins the gym to seek revenge and must navigate his internal conflict. Must convey vulnerability and determination.
• Marian (Female, late 20s–40s, any ethnicity): No-nonsense café manager. Assertive, sharp, and unafraid to stand her ground. Should be confident and deliver dialogue with authority.
• Ability to submit a virtual audition tape or participate in a Zoom callback

Compensation:
• This is an unpaid student project; actors will receive footage for reels and experience working on an independent film
