The non-union vertical micro webseries “Ships” is seeking a Black male actor to portray Chance, a charming and street-smart young man with strong common sense and natural confidence. After graduation, Chance moved from the country to the city with his mother and sister. This New Orleans acting opportunity calls for a performer who can bring charisma, humor, and authenticity to the character.
Job Responsibilities
• Portray Chance in a non-union vertical micro webseries.
• Bring the character’s charm, confidence, and street-smart personality to the screen.
• Deliver an engaging and authentic performance in character-driven scenes.
• Follow creative direction throughout production.
• Collaborate professionally with fellow cast members and the production team.
Requirements
• Black male actor.
• Must be able to portray ages 21–30.
• Must be able to work as a local hire in New Orleans.
• Strong ability to portray a charming, street-smart, and confident character.
• Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Compensation

Job Description
The non-union vertical micro webseries “Ships” is seeking a Black female actor to portray Sarai, an intelligent but naive young woman whose sheltered upbringing is challenged when she attends an HBCU. Raised in a strict household and educated in predominantly white institutions, Sarai is entering a world where she is no longer othered while navigating friendships, dating, and new experiences. This acting opportunity is open to New Orleans local talent.
Job Responsibilities
• Portray Sarai in a non-union vertical micro webseries.
• Bring Sarai’s intelligent, sheltered, and naive personality to life on camera.
• Explore the character’s transition into HBCU life and unfamiliar social experiences.
• Deliver an authentic performance in comedic, relationship, and character-driven scenes.
• Follow direction and collaborate professionally with the cast and production team.
Requirements
• Black female actor.
• Must be able to portray ages 18–25.
• Must be able to work as a local hire in New Orleans.
• Comfortable portraying a character navigating college life, friendships, and dating.
• Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
