A MetFilm School student production is casting talented dancers for A Few Seconds Ahead, an experimental short dance film exploring identity and societal pressure. This movement-driven project will feature expressive performances and is intended for festival submissions.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform in an experimental dance film production
- Collaborate with the creative team to bring expressive choreography to life
- Participate in rehearsals and filming on scheduled shoot dates
- Deliver emotionally driven and physically expressive performances
Roles Available
Lead Role: Lexi
- Female, ages 18–25
- Strong expressive contemporary dancer
Lexi Double (2 performers)
- Female, 18+
Ensemble Dancers (5–6 performers)
- Diverse, expressive dancers
Requirements
- Strong dance background (especially contemporary or expressive styles)
- Ability to convey emotion through movement
- Must be 18+ for most roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous performance or dance film experience
- Showreel or portfolio of dance work
Compensation
