Asian Actress Casting Call for Short Film
A non-union short film passion project is now casting Asian actresses for an emotional family drama titled Hi, I Am Calling For My Parents. The story follows a 14-year-old immigrant daughter balancing adult responsibilities while trying to experience a normal teenage life. Filming will take place in the Los Angeles area over one to two days beginning in July.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform emotionally driven scenes in a short film production
- Collaborate with the director and cast during filming
- Deliver authentic performances portraying family relationships and immigrant experiences
- Participate in scheduled filming days in the Los Angeles area
Requirements
Min
- Asian female, ages 14–16
- Must speak Mandarin
- Character portrays an immigrant daughter balancing translation duties and teenage life
- Strong emotional range preferred
Mother
- Asian female, ages 35–50
- Must speak fluent Mandarin
- Character portrays a loving but overwhelmed immigrant mother
- Strong dramatic acting ability preferred
