A dark arthouse short film titled “Dollface” is seeking passionate and bold actors to join this non-union, low-budget, unpaid production based in Los Angeles. This project delves into the gritty and emotional world of hustler sex work, exploring the complexities of friendship, revenge, and morality.

This is a passion project ideal for actors looking to expand their reel, gain festival exposure, and participate in a unique, thought-provoking film that pushes creative boundaries.

Job Responsibilities

• Bring authenticity and emotional depth to complex, edgy characters.

• Collaborate closely with the director and production team to develop compelling performances.

• Participate in film shoots, rehearsals, and self-tape auditions as required.

• Commit to the creative vision and tone of the film’s dark and provocative storyline.

• Maintain professionalism and respect for sensitive content during production.

Available Roles

Francesca (Principal, Female, 20s)

• Bold, confident, fiery, and a bit reckless.

• Must be comfortable smoking a prop cigarette and wearing semi-revealing clothing to reflect the character’s profession in the sex work industry.

John (Principal, Male, 27–30s)

• Stone-cold, blunt, sleazy. Picks up a male sex worker and exchanges money for a night.

• Must be comfortable being semi-nude and performing simulated sexual activities (NO sex scenes).

Murderer (Principal, Male, 30s–40s)

• Appears normal, respectful, and friendly, but hides a dark secret.

• Responsible for targeting hustlers and orchestrating their tragic fates.

Note: An intimacy coordinator will be available on set to ensure a safe and respectful filming environment.

Requirements

• Open to non-union actors with a passion for dark, boundary-pushing narratives.

• Comfortable with mature themes and emotionally intense material.

• Must be professional, reliable, and able to collaborate on set.

• Experience in drama, thriller, or arthouse projects is a plus.
