Job Description
An independent filmmaker is assembling a crew for an upcoming comedy feature film titled Playing Dead. The film follows a group of devoted super-fans who kidnap a musician in an attempt to force him to release new music, creating a chaotic and comedic situation. The production is seeking passionate crew members who want to collaborate on a creative, independent project and contribute their skills to bringing this feature-length comedy to life.

The production is currently prioritizing a Producer but is also interested in connecting with individuals across multiple departments who would like to be involved in the project.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the director and production team to help bring the feature film to completion

• Assist with planning, organizing, and executing various production tasks depending on department

• Support on-set operations during filming

• Work closely with team members to maintain a productive and creative filming environment

• Contribute ideas and solutions to help the production run smoothly

Requirements

• Producer – Experience helping organize and manage independent film productions is preferred

• Open to crew members across departments including:

  • Camera Department

  • Sound

  • Grip

  • Production Assistants (PAs)

• Passion for independent filmmaking and collaborative storytelling

• Ability to work in a team environment and contribute creatively

• Prior experience in film production is a plus but not required

Compensation

• Super micro-budget production

• Some positions may receive limited pay, while others may be volunteer-based
