Feature Film ‘A Father’s War’ – Casting Call for Lead and Supporting Roles

Job Description
A feature film titled A Father’s War is now casting for multiple lead and supporting roles. The project explores themes of love, loss, survival, and redemption through emotionally complex and dynamic characters. Filming will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, and is open to both new and experienced actors ready to deliver powerful, authentic performances.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray assigned character roles with emotional depth and authenticity

• Collaborate closely with the director and cast to bring the story to life

• Participate in rehearsals, table reads, and filming as required

• Take creative direction while maintaining professional conduct on set

Requirements

• Open to male and female actors of various ages (see individual roles below)

• Must be local to Atlanta, GA or able to work as a local hire

• Strong acting ability and emotional range required

• Prior film or theater experience preferred but not mandatory

Roles Include:

• Boris Johnson (Lead, Male, 18–25): Loyal, trusting, protective, and resilient but emotionally fragile from PTSD.

• Jasmine Summer (Lead, Female, 18–25): Nurturing and loyal yet conflicted; a survivor who balances love and strength.

• Aaron Shaffer (Lead, Male, 18–25): Charismatic but manipulative; emotionally unstable beneath a charming surface.

• Lily Harkee (Lead, 18–25): Comical yet ambitious and responsible; deeply loyal and protective of friends.

• Nikki Garnett (Supporting, Female, 18–25): Strong, confident, and bold; a loyal romantic partner and protector.

• Kathy Johnson (Supporting, Female, 45–60): Boris’s mother; compassionate and wise, battling cancer while remaining a pillar of strength.

• Pastor Gavin (Supporting, Male, 45+): Spiritual guide and trauma survivor offering mentorship and hope.

• Dr. Foster (Day Player, Male, 40+): PTSD specialist helping Boris through recovery.

• Nurse Sherri (Day Player, Female, 28–38): Kind and empathetic nurse aiding in Boris’s healing.

• Dr. Maddie (Day Player, Female, 25–30): Young therapist aiding Boris’s progress.

• Detective Jones (Day Player, Male/Female, 45–60): Investigator assisting Pastor Gavin’s storyline.

• Mr. Chavez (Day Player, Male, 40–55): Businessman supporting Kathy’s arc.

Compensation

• Roles paying up to $750, depending on part and shoot duration
