Job Description
A coming-of-age musical comedy-drama is casting performers for a heartfelt, high-energy stage production about three best friends navigating friendship, love, and chaotic adventures. This non-union, independent musical project is looking for versatile actors who can sing, dance, and deliver strong comedic timing, with opportunities for both lead and supporting roles. Non-speaking roles are welcome, but all performers must be able to follow stage choreography and group routines.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in a live musical production, including scripted scenes and staged movement

• Sing and dance in ensemble and featured musical numbers

• Collaborate with the director, choreographer, and cast during rehearsals and performances

• Maintain character consistency, energy, and stage presence throughout the show

Requirements

• Must be comfortable with singing, dancing, and choreographed group routines

• Strong comedic acting skills and emotional range preferred

• Ability to take direction and work well in an ensemble

• Roles available include:

  • Riley (Supporting Lead / Best Friend): Male, 18–25, loyal, sarcastic, playful; needs stamina and comfort with singing/dancing

  • Julian (Lead / The Dreamer): Male, 18–25, sweet and awkward; must sing, dance, and handle comedic beats

  • Noah (Supporting Lead / The Jokester): Male, 18–25, quick-witted, confident, playful; comedic timing required

  • Sienna (Lead / Love Interest): Female, 18–25, kind, observant, slightly mysterious; must connect emotionally and perform musical numbers

  • Emily (Supporting / Friend of Sienna): Female, 16–25, cheerful with a sharp edge; must sing and dance in ensemble numbers

  • Tess O’Donald (Featured / Psychic): Female, 25–65, theatrical and witty; strong stage presence and expressive performance style

  • Fred (Antagonist / Red Jacket): Male, 18–25, smug and intimidating; comedic potential while playing a bully
