Job Description
A short film production is seeking a skilled and reliable Gaffer and Grip to join the crew for an upcoming shoot. This is a paid opportunity for experienced professionals who can contribute to a creative and efficient filming environment. Candidates must have access to their own lighting and grip equipment and be available for all scheduled shoot dates.
Job Responsibilities

Set up and operate lighting equipment on set

Collaborate with the director and cinematographer to achieve desired visual effects

Ensure all electrical and grip gear is safely and efficiently managed

Assist with rigging, mounting, and positioning equipment as needed

Work closely with crew members to maintain a smooth production flow
Requirements

Must be based in Miami, FL

Must have own lighting and grip equipment

Previous experience in short film or similar productions preferred

Strong understanding of lighting design and on-set safety

Professional, punctual, and able to work collaboratively

Set in Miami, the story follows Nadia as she returns to lay her grandmother to rest and reconnects with her cousin Sabine. Through a deeply personal conversation, the two reflect on the past, explore their paths, and ponder what lies ahead. This non-union production offers a meaningful opportunity to portray complex emotional layers within a culturally rich narrative.
